As Progressive’s Laconia Motorcycle Rally celebrates its 88th year, “America’s Original Riding Rally” welcomes guests from around the country to this hotbed of riding heritage, June 11-19. Laconia, NH -- As Progressive’s Laconia Motorcycle Rally celebrates its 88th year, “America’s Original Riding Rally” welcomes guests from around the country to this hotbed of riding heritage, June 11-19.

Bikers can look forward to breathtaking motorcycle rides through winding roads, stunning lake vistas and riding on historic roads like the Kangamangus Trail.  There will be headlining bands and concerts all through the Lakes Region so you can quench your thirst for some good music.

Other attractions like the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad, the Mt. Washington Auto Road, the Hill Climb/Drag Races at Gunstock Mountain Resort and Laconia’s own Gypsy Tours add riding or day trips.  And for spectators, The New Hampshire Motor Speedway offers racing action from USCRA’s Vintage Races to Short track Races and of course, the 88th Loudon Classic Super Bike Race.  “The Weirs” as Weirs Beach is often referred to, offers a large group of vendors to serve a biker’s every need.  The restaurants, resorts, retailers and attractions provide a wide range of entertainment, food and lodging so a trip to Progressive’s Laconia Motorcycle Week offers all of the comforts, as well as decades of history and the camaraderie of a true riding rally.  

Of course, there are the traditional “biker bars” in town like the Broken Spoke as well as those that turn into Biker haunts during Motorcycle Week, like the largest entertainment complex in the Weirs: the Laconia Roadhouse featuring a daily Bike Build-Off and other motorcycle contests.  Also in the area is Harts Turkey Farm, The Paradise and The NAZBar Beach Bar & Grill, which this year hosts the “NAZKini” Bike Week Bikini Contest on Thursday, June 16.  Be sure to join the Official kick-off event of Progressive’s Laconia Motorcycle Week by attending the NASWA Resort’s 5th Annual Peter Makris Memorial Run on June 11th.  Also, new for 2011 is a Motorcycle Week Cruise around the Big Lake on the M/S Mt. Washington!  Be sure to set aside a couple of hours on Monday evening for this breathtaking cruise.
